Jake Wurzak

Jake Wurzak is the founder and CEO of DoveHill, a real estate investment firm based in Fort Lauderdale. Since 2011, DoveHill has invested in more than $1.5 billion of hospitality projects across the United States, with a focus on distinctive assets that create a sense of place: lifestyle and luxury hotels, resorts, and select-service properties in markets with durable demand. The portfolio includes the Mayflower Inn & Spa in Washington, Connecticut, the White Barn Inn in Kennebunk, Maine, The Dalmar in Fort Lauderdale, and the Moxy in St. Petersburg’s Edge District. In 2024 the firm opened a second vertical in South Florida industrial real estate, acquiring infill, last-mile warehouse and flex properties in Broward and Palm Beach counties.

DoveHill’s edge is not aesthetic. It is sourcing, structure, and execution: relationships that surface opportunities before they are marketed, financing and partnership structures built for each situation, and disciplined post-acquisition asset management. Jake previously led Wurzak Hotel Group, a hotel owner and operator with roughly 900 employees, until its 2026 combination with HHM.

Jake hosts Masters of Moments, a podcast of conversations with founders, owners, and investors in hospitality and real estate. He holds a J.D. from Nova Southeastern University and a B.B.A. from the University of Miami, serves on the board of the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, and is a member of YPO Gateway. He lives in Fort Lauderdale with his wife, Kristin, and their two children, and spends as much of the winter as he can on skis.
